Summary

A plinko-style "city-builder" about saving your small town after a bypass diverts travelers who would otherwise help sustain local businesses. With a little bit of bribery, you've managed to get the bypass temporarily shut down. Strategically construct new businesses in your town and direct cars with traffic tones to maximize profits and keep your town alive!

Gameplay

Cars will "drive in" from the top of the screen and bounce on any traffic cones they run into, plinko style. Each car has an initial amount of money they enter your town with which they can spend at businesses they pass through. You can click on existing buildings to see a list of available upgrades in the right panel, or select an empty lot to construct a new building.

You can add additional cones for $25 each by clicking on any of the roads in your city. Cones can also be removed by holding down the right mouse button and dragging onto the cone. Removing cones does not refund their cost. You have an initial maximum of 15 cones, though this can be increased via the "Cone Factory" building.

As you progress, the official you bribed will ask for increasingly large amounts of money each week to keep the bypass shut down. Make sure to grow your town's economy fast enough to keep up with his demands! Survive long enough and your city will become financially stable on its own - no more bribes needed!

This game was made in about 6 days for Jame Gam 48 based on the theme "road" and special object "cone".

FAQ

Can cars go to the same business twice? A: Yes. As long as they completely exit the business, then they will trigger the building's effect another time next time they come in contact with it.

What happens if a car doesn't have enough money left to pay for a restaurant, casino, etc? A: If a car doesn't have enough money to pay for something, you'll get all of their remaining money and the car will go to $0 remaining.
